Another charming and adorable clean romcom from Julie Christianson; I was totally head over heels for Liv and Hudson。 I really enjoyed this dual POV contemporary romance。 Liv is an identical triplet who has struggled with the comparison most of her life。 I truly loved how Hudson SAW her for who she really was and that she in turn saw what was behind his personal protective walls。 The story was cute and fun to read with a good sense of humor, but also some excellent depth。 I absolutely loved thei Another charming and adorable clean romcom from Julie Christianson; I was totally head over heels for Liv and Hudson。 I really enjoyed this dual POV contemporary romance。 Liv is an identical triplet who has struggled with the comparison most of her life。 I truly loved how Hudson SAW her for who she really was and that she in turn saw what was behind his personal protective walls。 The story was cute and fun to read with a good sense of humor, but also some excellent depth。 I absolutely loved their first kiss, but even more the one that counted most later。 Hudson's protectiveness and supportive manner were so sweet and I loved their shared interest in fiction。 The cameos from Julie's other books were delightful particularly seeing #hadlink。 I loved this story!I received an advance reader copy of this novel。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

This was such a great book! I love those McCoy triplets! The story was fun and sweet。 I adored the group chat banter。 Family group chats are my fave。 There were lots of funny moments and the romance was so cute。 The characters were wonderful and I loved getting to see more of characters from other books。 (The shoutout of characters by other romcom authors was so fun too。 IYKYK。) Big Mama was so funny。 “The Betty White of the Adirondacks。” Olivia, the middle filling of the McCoy triplet sandwich, This was such a great book! Julie Christianson is becoming one of my favorite authors。 This book did not disappoint! I really enjoyed Olivia and Hudson! The characters are well written and not fluffy at all。 They had real life deep insecurities that we all deal with。 There were so many sweet, fun and swoony moments! I look forward to reading more from this series!

Love this book! The small-town setting and characters feel three-dimensional and real。 I had so much fun getting to know Hudson and Liv and seeing our friends from previous books! Or right? The amount of times I cackled out loud reading this sweet romance had Reed (bookstagram husband) concerned, but also nosey about the plot。 There are so many comedic moments, not least of which is a major wardrobe malfunction—or two。 (See next slide) Do I even need to say it? SASSY GRANNY! Big Mama was at risk of stealing the show multiple times, but she was definitely doing so on purpose。 (As she laughs in a catcall)So it’s very, very funny。 It is also so, so sweet! The characters bring their own childhood wounds to the table, and have to work through them。 Isn’t that the mark of maturity, though? Realizing we are all just people, and being willing to recognize the parts of ourselves that need healing? It’s one thing to recognize a shortcoming, it’s an entirely other thing to move forward in life hoping to grow beyond it。 You find that here with Olivia and Hudson。 If you need a spring break read: here you go! Don’t read it if you don’t want to laugh。 And then maybe cry a little。 0 out of 5 on the FOTMS scale。 Squeaky clean— just how I like it。 💛Thank you to @juliechristiansonauthor for an advanced copy of this title。 。。。more

I loved their character arcs。 Both Liv & Hudson are leery of relationships for various reasons。 They’re both thoughtful, kind people who just needed to find the right person。 I loved seeing them grow in their relationship。 I enjoyed Liv recognizing her abilities and feeling seen, especially by Hudson。 Hudson’s just the cutest guy! I loved the way he cares for Liv。 He’s willing to read Brontë! He’s so surprised by anyone doing something nice for him because he’s used to being used。 I loved how he became more confident in love and willing to sacrifice for it。 These two are just perfect for each other and I loved watching them be playful, supportive, and romantic。Not only are there funny, laugh out loud moments, but there’s a sweet story of overcoming past hurts, abandonment and pain。 It’s a heartfelt, swoony romcom that’s a must read if you enjoy closed door romances。 Though part of a series, it can be read as a standalone。 However, it’s so much more enjoyable seeing beloved characters from other books like Link & Hadley, Tess, Nat & Brady, Big Mama, and others。 Now I can’t wait for Darby’s story。 I received an advanced complimentary copy from the author。 All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided。 。。。more

She was so funny with her random comments and her insistence that Hudson was actually a famous celebrity。 I loved that her family just kinda rolled with whatever she ended up doing and just kinda let her have her own way。 I loved that Olivia clearly loved her family and wanted to support them。 Though I didn’t like that she in turn would get down on herself/her skills, I really liked that others helped her to work on changing that mindset and built her up as the story went on。 I loved that Hudson was actually one of the biggest proponents of this and how much he truly cared for her。 I loved his reaction to her simple gift and just how much that meant to him as well。 I loved that Hudson was open enough to convey his sincere emotions over the simple moment。 I also loved getting to see characters from previous books Julie’s written and where they’re all at in their lives。Summary:Olivia had kissed Hudson on a dare from her sisters back at the last family wedding and hasn’t been able to forget him, nor how he rejected her advances。 When Olivia has to return home to Abieville, she’s glad that Hudson moved away in the time since she’d been there last。 But her luck runs out when she inquires about a job at The Beachfront Inn only to discover that Hudson was already offered the position she’d hoped for and he accepted。 With no available job nearby, Olivia is about to move on once more until Hudson begs her to stay and help him with the reopening of the inn。 He has no idea what he’s doing or what it could take to get people to come back now that things have been updated。 And with Olivia’s background, she not only has the skills, but also the knowledge of what people are looking for。 If only she didn’t need to work with Hudson in their shared workspace for the month she’ll be employed there…Hudson needs a fresh start after his attempt at working at his father’s company leaves him feeling adrift。 With his last job at The Beachfront Inn being offered to him, Hudson is excited to build something of his own that will bring him joy once more。 But when he gets there, Hudson finds himself drowning in all that it will take to get The Beachfront Inn back to its glory days as a hotspot in Abieville。 His only hope is to get Olivia on board to help promote and streamline all the online things for the inn in the month before they reopen for business。 And hopefully not fall for her in the time they’ll have to spend together to get everything done in time…* I received an ARC from the author & am not required to leave a positive review 。。。more

She agrees to stay for one month until the inn gets up and running but then she plans to take her experience and move on to something better。 As Olivia and Hudson work closely together, they realize that they make a great team, both personally and professionally。 But with the looming deadline of the inn's reopening and Olivia's time at the Beachfront Inn coming to an end, will their relationship grow into something more or will they go their separate ways? This is the third installment of the Abieville love stories and each book makes me love this series even more! Hudson and Olivia were characters that were both relatable and enjoyable。 I loved how their communication was open and honest the whole time and how they always saw the best in each other。 Their chemistry was fantastic and working together made it even better。 I loved that they read each other's favorite books and how those books and references to "the dare" from the beginning kept getting brought up。 It's little details like that that make a story stand out to me。 One of my favorite parts of returning to this series was the McCoy family。 Abieville is filled with memorable family members that enhance the different parts of the story。 And the "McCoy sibling chat" is the best!! I got so excited when I got to those chapters。 The ending was completely different than I thought it would be and I loved not having a typical "3rd act breakup"。 I saw a few opportunities that this could have happened but it didn't and I'm so grateful that Julie chose the path she did! All in all, another fantastic installment in the Abieville series with characters I love more and more each book。 If you're looking for a romcom with summer vibes to get you out of the winter blues, this is it! I was so excited to get to read this one by Julie Christianson。 Not only do I love that yellow cover, but I always know her books are going to make me smile from the beginning to the end。 And this one did!I love Olivia。 She's one of the McCoy triplets。 And she's kind of let that become her identity。 So when she quits her job and goes to Abieville, that's kind of what she thinks of herself。 I loved watching the way Hudson helps her change that a little bit at a time。 You have to love the beginnin I was so excited to get to read this one by Julie Christianson。 Not only do I love that yellow cover, but I always know her books are going to make me smile from the beginning to the end。 And this one did!I love Olivia。 She's one of the McCoy triplets。 And she's kind of let that become her identity。 So when she quits her job and goes to Abieville, that's kind of what she thinks of herself。 I loved watching the way Hudson helps her change that a little bit at a time。 You have to love the beginning of this one。 Olivia is dared to kiss Hudson。 I'm not going to tell you what happens, but it made me laugh so hard。 It was one of my very favorite parts of the book。 I loved Hudson, as well。 Watching him try to live his dream and break free of his old life and perceptions of himself was so great。 I loved how he learned about Olivia's favorite books and incorporated them into his life。 And I love that we see more of Olivia's family。 Those McCoys are some of my favorite characters ever。 I hope we get to see them again really soon!I was sent an e-copy of That Time I Kissed My Beachfront Boss by the author。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more
Beth,
I love everything I’ve read by Julie Christianson, but Olivia & Hudson are my favorite story yet。 Stars: 5/5Spice: 0/5 (Closed-Door)It all started with an “I dare you。” I was utterly hooked on Olivia & Hudson’s story from chapter one。 I was pulled in by the “will they/won’t they” of it all。 I was completely obsessed with all the little tension-filled moments, all the McCoy family dynamics and humor, and all the sweet, swoony gestures。 I absolutely loved the character development and finally peel I love everything I’ve read by Julie Christianson, but Olivia & Hudson are my favorite story yet。 Stars: 5/5Spice: 0/5 (Closed-Door)It all started with an “I dare you。” I was utterly hooked on Olivia & Hudson’s story from chapter one。 I was pulled in by the “will they/won’t they” of it all。 I was completely obsessed with all the little tension-filled moments, all the McCoy family dynamics and humor, and all the sweet, swoony gestures。 I absolutely loved the character development and finally peeling back the layers on these two characters that Julie’s introduced to us before。 Julie always does such a wonderful job of bringing all of the sizzle with none of the spice, and Olivia & Hudson’s story was no different。 I highly recommend this book!TW: Parental estrangement, Loss of a loved one (past, off page)I received an ARC copy of the book and all thoughts are my own。 。。。more
Berly Dawn,
I just adored this third book in the Abieville Love Stories series。 It could be read as a standalone story, but I think it is enjoyed more by knowing the other characters that are featured in the story。 Many of them have books about them in other series by Julie Christianson。 I have read some of them but not all。 I am working my way through the previous stories, so that I can be all caught up。The world of characters Julie Christianson has created is lovely。 Hudson and Olivia make the sweetest te I just adored this third book in the Abieville Love Stories series。 It could be read as a standalone story, but I think it is enjoyed more by knowing the other characters that are featured in the story。 Many of them have books about them in other series by Julie Christianson。 I have read some of them but not all。 I am working my way through the previous stories, so that I can be all caught up。The world of characters Julie Christianson has created is lovely。 Hudson and Olivia make the sweetest team in working together to get the Beachfront Inn ready to reopen。The first chapter is one of my favorites in any book! It was perfection!I thank the author for the advanced digital reader copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review。 。。。more

It felt so good to have a book by Julie in my hands again! I have missed my friends from Apple Valley and we picked right back up where we left off! Also! buddy reading this with my bestie, Kayla, was a treat! I loved our fangirling moments and your insights to being a twin。 You made me love this story all the more。 It all started with a dare…and ended up being so much more。 Olivia grew up being a triplet, and never really felt like she measured up to her sisters。 She didn’t understand her true It felt so good to have a book by Julie in my hands again! He won my heart from the beginning! He came from a rocky past and never had a role model of what true love should and feel look like。 But when Olivia trips into his life, he starts to see maybe there is someone out there for him, someone to love him for who he is。 I loved these two so much! They both got off on the wrong foot after the dare, but oh, it led to so much more。 I loved the slow build to their relationship。 Olivia seen Hudson to his core and she showed him in all the small ways that she did。 It was a beautiful thing to see。 And Hudson helped her see her worth。 The growth of these characters was one of my favorite things from this book。 There were so many sweet, swoony, funny and tender moments in this book。 I’m still not over Liv and Hudson and all their sweetness! I loved seeing all the McCoy siblings again and the rest of Apple Valley! These characters feel like family to me and I’m already looking forward to the next book! Caution: this book may cause you to want to watch Jane Eyre。 My fav is the series version, in case you wondered! 😂Things I Loved:💦The Dare💦Embarrassing moments💦Sesame seed buns💦Cupcakes 💦Sibling group chats 💦Big Mama💦The fire hose💦Nicknames 💦The dunk tank💦She wears his clothes 💦He takes care of her💦Jane Eyre referencesI received a complimentary copy of this book from the author。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more
Sarah Bowe,
Such a cute workplace romance。 Hudson and Olivia are both such amazing people even if they don't see that in themselves all the time。 Their first meeting is filled with hilarity and awkwardness and I'm grateful for the 2 years in between before they meet again。I liked Olivia so much。 I was sad that she felt like she was the "lesser" of her triplets。 She's just doing the best she can which is what we all do。 I liked that Hudson finally felt he could settle down at the Beachfront Inn and be conten Such a cute workplace romance。 Hudson and Olivia are both such amazing people even if they don't see that in themselves all the time。 Their first meeting is filled with hilarity and awkwardness and I'm grateful for the 2 years in between before they meet again。I liked Olivia so much。 I was sad that she felt like she was the "lesser" of her triplets。 She's just doing the best she can which is what we all do。 I liked that Hudson finally felt he could settle down at the Beachfront Inn and be content。 I liked the nicknames they called each other。 I liked the banter and the slowly pulling down walls to invest in a relationship。 Can't forget the heart stopping moment near the end (there is an HEA if you are worried though)The sibling text chain is life! They are so funny all together 。This is book 3 in this series and since I haven't yet read the first 2。。。 This works great at a standalone though you get cameos of characters from other series。 。。。more
Suze,
checking all my boxesI just love this author, when I have a real bad day reading her books always cheers me up。 I couldn´t decide should I pity Olivia for her overbearing interfering twin sisters or envy her and her rival Hudon asking her for help seems like a clever move to obtain a second chance。
